Frame Strikers for Cockspur Window Handles on double glazing These are shaped pieces of plastic on the window frame that your Cockspur handle closes over.
There are 2 little studs on the back which slot into holes on your frame. These are usually found on older types of double glazing, upvc or aluminium windows and often in caravans or mobile homes.
These wedges (sometimes known as double wedges) come in white, black and grey colours. Sizes will vary from 3mm up to and beyond 8.5mm. Wedges are held in place with superglue.
The size of the wedge is dictated by the backset on your cockspur handle and the step size on your vent. For example, a handle with a 13mm backset when fitted to a casement with a 7mm step will require a wedge of approximately 6mm.
