Spiral Balances

SPIRAL SASH BALANCES
 
Building Profiles have added spiral sash balances, brackets and accessories to our existing range of products.
 
These spiral balances are designed for use in both conventional vertical sliding windows with a tilt-in-facility, together with serving hatches and counter screens.
 
Spiral balances are in use throughout the world in PVC, aluminium and timber windows. They are designed to counter balance a sash, holding it in any position. Whilst balances are not designed as a mechanical opening device, they do give a degree of assistance when operating the window.
 
Our range comes in pre-tensioned or non pre-tensioned. We have added an extensive range of accessories to complement these balances.

SPIRAL BALANCES

There are three different types of balance supplied by Building Profiles.
These are:

• Spiral
• Ultralift
• Torso                    

1. Spirex / Spiralift – Conventional Windows (Slide Only VS).  
2. Alumatilt Regular /Alumatilt Heavy Duty –Tilt In VS Windows (Tilt & Slide VS).

Both types of Spiral balances have a tube diameter of 14mm. This enables the spiral balances to fit into most Secondary glazed windows.
 
Spiral balances are also suitable for all other vertical sliding windows however, they only ever offer up to 25% mechanical assistance.
 
Spiral balances are stocked in the UK assembled, and can normally be supplied from stock when ordered.
 
Spiral balances are supplied from 8” to 48” in 1” increments.
 
Approximate extension = 2 x balance tube length
 
A standard finish of these balances is an aluminium tube, which can also be covered using white
